Humming to God

This week we met with a family that has two boys who are really similar and two years apart. It reminded me a lot of my lil bro Cooper. Shoutout Coopy and Genesis 4:9.

My uncle used to call us bear cubs as Cooper and I always were together.

Dinner with two great kids!

Algunos cosos:

We are teaching a lad who believes in everything imaginable. Astrology, energies, buddha, etc. We asked him to pray in the first lesson and he clasped his hands together in the shape of a handgun, put his thumbs on his nose and his pointer fingers on his forehead then asked us, "Is it ok if I do it in the ancient manner?" We said, "... si" and then he started humming and beautiful tune, I was tempted to beatbox and throw on a freestyle but then he switched into word mode and said some words then stopped (without "amen"). QUE?? pretty wild that he prays like that. We have met with him one time after that and I got to understand him a little more. Satan is working so hard to confuse people on earth. To take away their identity in any way. Satan has caused our amigo to hum to an elephant instead of praying with words in the name of Jesus Christ to his loving Father in Heaven. The Book of Mormon is gonna be key for our amigo, all he has to do is read it with an open heart.
You are a child of God! He knows you and you used to talk to him every day in the premortal world. You can still talk to him, but just over phone by saying a heartfelt prayer. One day we will see our Heavenly dad again, so now is the "time to prepare to meet God" (Alma, 82BC)

Vilma made us some delicious food!
- I slept talked in Portuguese, um poco, pero I said "vose" so that's a dub

- I went to work on the "payaso" bike and fixed the pedal and the chain, it was unusually fun. The pedal later broke completely off but the chain is running smooooth.

- Did some fun object lessons with the members here. I am trying to think of more ideas, if you have any send em my way. We did a "fiery darts of the adversary" for 1 Nephi 15:24 by shooting paper hornets. And Alma 12:10 by doing a scavenger hunt.

Grande Eres Tu

I know every week can't be heavenly, so I am enjoying this one. This past week was one I'll remember.

The Bay of Biscay surrounds San Juan de Gaztelugatxe which is a clifftop church. The location has been a tourist attraction for centuries but has exploded in popularity following its appearance in Games of Thrones.  They were doing some work on it so we couldn't actually go out to the island.

For Pday I went to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, it is dreamy but I def miss playing fútbol and hiking mountains with Dad and my bros. Kinda random but it's verdad.

We visited a couple from Belarusia who only speak Russian, no Span or English. It was awesome. I don't know when the missionaries last visited them but they literally treated us like kings. We got there, said "pryvit brat!" (Hola hermano) and they gave us slippers and to wear while we were there. It was a crazy feeling to be in that lesson and just absolutely not be able to say a single word to them. It reminded me of the first part of my mission. But more importantly, it reminded me that I personally am not the reason anyone is gonna or has been converted to the gospel. The spirit has been, and always will be the teacher, I love the Holy Ghost man.
We did District Council outside and it was really fun, I love being with all the crew.
Snapped some pics of the Book of Mormon for Facebook, are they good?
English Class
Ok, English Class is an absolute hack on the mission. It's hard to start it up, but once it gets going EVERYONE wants to come. They love it. We had 40 people come last week, our goal is 100. It's lowkey sad how many people are interested in the English language in comparison to Jesus but we are working on it.
I'll never forget the joy I felt on this day!
Betzabeth, Maryori, and Luana got baptized and confirmed. Everything went really smoothly, shoutout to the ward here and the Hermann's fr. The whole time I was focusing on enjoying the day and making it the best day ever for this family. They were a little nervous (normal) but they all got baptized without problems and it was the most happy thing to see them smiling right after. Also like legit 3/4 of the ward pulled up 🙏. We finished the program singing "How Great Thou Art," but "Grande Eres Tu" and BOOM that's when the Spirit joined the baptism. I felt like we won the World Cup or sum. I was just pure happy and hyped. For a few minutes, I felt the joy that God feels every day, when someone gets baptized, confirmed, endowed, sealed, born, or goes to the spirit world... God feels a lot of joy, and I know that He wants us all to feel the same joy. This family is an example to me of walk by faith 🤍

Our bike "payaso" is having problems. The chain falls off every 30-60 seconds, which makes riding more fun, also I taught Elder Miranda how to ride with no hands. He loves it!

The Lord's Estate

On Saturday Élder Miranda, Elder Stone, Elder Romrell, and I went to the Madrid Temple to do baptisms and confirmations.
The lads exiting a playdate at the Lord's crib. The Madrid Temple is super beautiful. I love the granite designs that look like the walls are woven, families can be together forever!

What I liked most was that I realized the Lord's work is not just done by missionaries, not at all. The youth of the church were able to help baptize and confirm a crazy amount of people in just a few hours, and now they have these people have the chance to accept Jesus in the Spirit World.

1 Peter 3:19 "'Jesus' went and preached unto the spirits in prison;"

I love being inside of temples, the peace and joy I feel inside are like nothing else!

Döner skate. "Döner Kebab" is a very common place to eat in Europe. It's alright for sure but always comes back for revenge.

The mandem in Pamplona after getting kicked out trying to film the official "Rejoice in Him" music video.

Euro step

Hermana Eastland made jerseys for our mission. Super hype and Ill always be reppin da norf

Promised Land

Right now I'm in Madrid for Zone Conference. These last two weeks have been absolutely blessed. The milagros (miracles) in Pamplona are rampant and we are trying to keep up with them all.

Pulled up to San Sebastián to see Jared y Jose María my day1dawgiees

Here are a few of the miracles I have been experiencing:

  • Bjuana, ljuana, mjuana (codenames 🥷) we found by Facebook a few weeks ago and are absolutely the most genuine gente out there. God prepared them ya. Campo es blanco
My homie Ricardo, such a dog

Games with family
  • Efreddy y Frabreddy are two homies who love to play fútbol and read (the LDM 🤩) and are just down to follow our big bro Jesus.
Life in Pamplona

Eric got baptized! Eric went to the Rome temple and felt the spirit and knew this was the true church.

  • Daviticus was a street find 💎, we chased him down (literally 🏃‍♂️) while he was riding on his bike.  turns out he was looking for a church to join. Padre Celestial a ti te amo un montón.

Reyes magos (aka Three Kings Day)

Charity never faileth. That's cool, but like, how? Good question. I was thinking about that when I was doing some personal study and I had the impression that charity never fails, because it is a way of life. When we think about how God thinks, we can be patient because we trust Him, we can be nice because we love Him and we will be humble because we understand Him. I think that only the people that know you best (family, companions on the mish, close friends) know if you have charity. My goal in life is to keep a real genuine rock solid relationship with my family for the rest of my life, which is eternity. So Mom, Dad, Alex, Alexa, Quinn, Tyler, Hailee, Alysee, Dallin, Cooper, and Chloe. I love y'alls for reals.
Sunday = gameday.

Read Moroni 7 & and 1 Corinthians 13 for more wisdom:

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not acharity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

And though I have the gift of aprophecy, and understand all bmysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the apoor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

aCharity bsuffereth long, and is ckind; charity denvieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself aunseemlybseeketh not her own, is not easily cprovoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in ainiquity, but rejoiceth in the btruth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never afaileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a aglassbdarkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth afaithbhopeccharity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Who says being a missionary isn't fun?!!!!!  Young Chap is in Madrid!!!
